Directory Listing Terms
The terms for clinic accounts: who may claim a listing in our allergist directory, how we confirm a claim, what you may add to a listing, and the rules for what you write.
Policy update, October 28, 2026: you can now sign up for food allergen recall alerts by email. Our Privacy Policy, Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and Terms of Use explain what a recall alert sign-up keeps, that alerts go only to confirmed addresses, and what the alerts can’t do.
October 19, 2026: doctors in our allergist directory, and the people who work at their practices, can now claim their listing. Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and new Directory Listing Terms explain what a clinic account keeps. Readers still don’t need an account, and our pages still set no cookies for them.
October 17, 2026: you can now sign up for pollen alert emails. Our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain what a sign-up keeps and how to delete it.
These terms apply to clinic accounts on AllergyNest: accounts that doctors and practice staff use to claim and update a listing in our allergist directory. They add to our Terms of Use, which also apply. If the two conflict, these terms apply to clinic accounts and listings. Faz LLC operates AllergyNest (“AllergyNest”, “we”, “us”).
Readers don’t need an account, and these terms don’t apply to them.
What a listing is
We list doctors with an allergy or immunology specialty from two federal records: Medicare’s Doctors and Clinicians file and the national provider registry (NPPES). Every doctor is listed free, whether or not anyone claims the listing. How we list doctors explains the rules.
Claiming a listing lets the doctor or their practice add details the federal records don’t have. It is free. It doesn’t change the order of any list, and it doesn’t make us recommend or rate anyone. We keep showing the details from the federal records next to the details you add.
Who may have a clinic account
You may create a clinic account and claim a listing if you are 18 or older and you are either:
- the doctor named in the listing, or
- someone who works at that doctor’s practice and is authorized to manage the listing for them.
More than one person can manage the same listing. Each person needs their own account. Don’t share your account or sign-in links with anyone.
How we confirm a claim
When you claim a listing, you tell us your name, your role and your job title. We then confirm the claim ourselves, usually by calling the practice at a phone number in the public records and asking for you by name. We may confirm it another way, or ask you for more information. Until we confirm a claim, you can’t change the listing.
We may decline a claim we can’t confirm, and we may remove your access to a listing at any time, for example if the doctor or the practice asks us to, if you leave the practice, or if you break these terms.
A confirmed claim means only that we confirmed that someone at the practice manages the listing. It isn’t a check of the doctor’s license, board certification or qualifications, and we don’t describe it as one.
What you can add
Once we confirm your claim, you can add or change:
- a phone number and a website for the practice
- a link where patients can book or request an appointment
- whether the doctor is taking new patients
- whether the doctor offers telehealth visits
- the ages the doctor sees
- languages spoken
- insurance plans accepted
- a short description of up to 600 characters
Your changes appear on the doctor’s profile, marked as details from the practice, with the date they were last updated. The short description appears only after we review it. We may decline it, shorten it or fix its format, and we will tell you if we do.
Rules for what you add
Everything you add must be accurate and kept up to date. You are responsible for it. Doctors are responsible under their state’s rules on physician advertising for what is said about them, so make sure what you add follows those rules.
Don’t add:
- words like “best”, “top”, “leading” or “#1”, or any other ranking or comparison with other doctors
- claims that a treatment cures a condition or guarantees a result
- “board certified” unless you name the certifying board in full
- patient testimonials, reviews or ratings
- anything about a patient, or any other health information about a person
- medical advice
- prices, discounts, offers or anything about payments for referrals
- links, email addresses or phone numbers in the short description
- anything about other doctors or practices
- anything false, misleading, unlawful, or that belongs to someone else
We may edit or remove anything you add that breaks these rules, or that we reasonably think could mislead readers.
Permission to publish
You keep any rights you have in what you add. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, display, format, shorten and store it on AllergyNest, and in the structured data and summaries that search engines and other services read from our pages. The license ends when the content is removed from AllergyNest, except for copies we keep in backups for a limited time. You confirm that you have the right to give us this license.
What claiming doesn’t change
- Order. Lists stay in alphabetical order. Claiming a listing, or paying for anything, never changes it.
- The federal records. We keep showing what the federal records say. If they are wrong, report it with the “Report a problem” link on the listing, and update the records at the source: the national provider registry through NPPES, and Medicare enrollment through CMS.
- Taking a listing down. Claiming doesn’t let you hide a listing. If the doctor has retired, moved away or isn’t an allergist, tell us and we will take it down.
If we offer paid placement in the future, it will have its own terms and one published price, it will appear in a separate slot labeled “Sponsored”, and it will never be needed to claim or update a listing.
Signing in and your account
You sign in with a link we email to you. There is no password. Keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell us straight away at hello@allergynest.com if you think someone else has used your account.
Our Privacy Policy explains what a clinic account keeps and how we use it, and our Cookie Policy describes the one cookie that keeps you signed in.
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting it removes your access to every listing. The details you added stay on the listing, because they describe the doctor or practice, unless you or the practice asks us to remove them.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we delete accounts that haven’t signed in for two years.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of what you added to a listing, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows. The disclaimers, limits on liability, governing law and other general terms in our Terms of Use apply to clinic accounts too.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will post a notice on the site and email account holders before it takes effect. If you keep using your clinic account after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
